CONTRACTS

AIR FORCE

Anteon Corp., Fairfax, Va., and Universal Technology Corp., Dayton, Ohio, are being awarded a $99,650,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright Research Site Materials and Manufacturing Directorate with a quick turnaround capability in acquiring short-term external analyses, technical assessments, specialized testing, strategic studies, workshops and presentations furthering Basic and Applied Research, as well as advanced development efforts in core areas of materials technology, including, but not limited to the following: Polymers, Organic Matrix Composites and Tribology and Coatings, Metals, Ceramics and Nondestructive Evaluation, Materials and Processes for Sensors and Laser Hardened Materials, Manufacturing Technology/Manufacturing Research, Systems Support Research (AF fielded systems, i.e., F-16 material problem), Air Expeditionary Force (rapid deployment operations). The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above. At this time, $35,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete by May 2011. Solicitation began February 2005 and negotiations were completed April 2005. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8650-05-D-5806, 5807).

United Technologies Corp., East Hartford, Conn., is being awarded a $7,946,935 undefinitized Contractual Action contract to provide for multiple sole source replenishments spares for the F100 engine applicable to the F-15 and F-16 Aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to Israel, Greece and Portugal. At this time, $3,973,468 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete by December 2006. The 448th Combat Sustainment Wing, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-01-G-0006-0970).

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Systems Integration, Owego, N.Y., is being awarded a $25,547,000 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price advance acquisition contract (N00019-04-C-0113) for long lead materials and effort associated with the production and delivery of 12 full rate production MH-60R weapon systems. Work will be performed in Owego, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in April 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity (N00019-04-C-0113).

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn. is being awarded a $14,680,000 Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract modification to previously awarded contract for the Procurement of Long Lead Time Material for the Conversion of OHIO Class SSBN Submarines to OHIO Class SSGN Submarines. Work will be performed in Quonset Point, R.I. (89 percent), Groton, Conn. (10 percent) and Norfolk, Va. (1 percent) and is expected to be completed by September 2007. None of the contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, DC, is the contracting activity. (N00024-02-C-2901)

Northrop Grumman Corp., Electronic Sensors and Systems/Oceanic and Naval Systems, Annapolis, Md., is being awarded a $7,381,315 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the development of components, systems, and subsystems to provide sonar solutions for high-resolution bottom mine detection and classification for use in unmanned undersea vehicle applications. Work will be performed in Annapolis, Md., and is expected to be completed by February 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via a Topical Broad Agency Announcement and eight offers were received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity (N66604-05-C-0997).

ARMY

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., was awarded on May 18, 2005, a $16,833,155 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for Elbit A & B Kits for the UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopters. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 10, 2004. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-02-C-0006).

Alliant Tech Systems Inc., Arden Hills, Minn., was awarded on May 18, 2005, a $6,573,639 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for M830A1 Cartridges. Work will be performed in Janesville, Wis. (17 percent), Lancaster, Pa. (14 percent), Middletown, Iowa (13 percent), Radford, Va. (8 percent), Rocket Center, W.V. (15 percent), Joplin, Mo. (10 percent), Faribault, Minn. (7 percent), Coachella, Calif. (3 percent), Louisville, Ky. (2 percent), Camden, Ark. (2 percent), and Fridley, Minn. (2 percent), and is expected to be completed by Nov. 28, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 2, 2002. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAE30-03-C-1084).

DRS Tactical Systems Inc., Palm Bay, Fla., was awarded on May 17, 2005, a delivery order amount of $4,876,364 as part of a $126,253,165 firm-fixed-price contract for V4 Computer Systems and Associated Spares. Work will be performed in Palm Bay, Fla., and is expected to be completed by March 21, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on May 6, 2005. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15P7T-04-D-G204).

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio, was awarded on May 18, 2005, a delivery order amount of $1,162,316 as part of a $16,688,986 firm-fixed-price contract for Track Pads for the Abrams Vehicle. Work will be performed in St. Marys, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 14, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Feb. 22, 2005, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-05-D-0187).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Muddy Creek Oil and Gas Inc.*, Pine Ridge, S.D., is being awarded a minimum $5,209,654 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for the Air Force and federal civilian agencies for gasoline, burner fuel oil and diesel fuel products. Location of performance is in various military and federal civilian activities in customer- organized group 6. Performance completion date is May 31, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Two proposals were solicited and two responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va. (SP0600-04-D-4525).
