CONTRACTS

ARMY

Nan Inc. Honolulu, Hawaii, was awarded on Sept. 8, 2005, a $43,736,330 firm-fixed-price contract for Construction of Barracks, Battalion and Brigade Headquarters, and a Chiller Plant. Work will be performed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 21, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on June 20, 2005, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Honolulu, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (W9128A-05-C-0009).

Rotair Industries*, Bridgeport, Conn., was awarded on Sept. 9, 2005, a $7,506,235 firm-fixed-price contract for Stabilator Amplifiers. Work will be performed in Bridgeport, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 9, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on June 1, 2005. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15P7T-05-C-F011).

NAVY

BAE Systems Analytical Solutions Inc., Huntsville, Ala.; BearingPoint Inc., McLean, Va.; E.L. Hamm & Associates Inc., Virginia Beach, Va.; and Grant Thornton LLP, Alexandria, Va. are each being awarded ceiling-priced, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contracts to provide support services to the Department of the Navy Agency Tender Officials for the development of competitive agency tenders in public-private competitions conducted under the procedures of Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76. In addition, this contract provides support services for the human resources advisor and the most efficient organization team. BAE Systems Analytical Solutions Inc., ceiling is $8,366,224; BearingPoint Inc., ceiling is $8,340,924; E.L. Hamm & Associates Inc. ceiling is $6,323,680 and Grant Thornton LLP, ceiling is $9,446,114. Each awardee will have the opportunity to bid on each individual task order. Places and percentages of work will be determined based on the location of the Navy/Marine Corps installation involved and the successful offer for each task order. The two-year ordering period will expire in September 2007. The contract was competitively awarded through a request for proposals, with 44 firms solicited and 10 offers received. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif. is the contracting activity.
