FlightSafety Services Corp., Centennial, Colo., is being awarded a $17,334,420 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for C-5 Aircrew Training Systems this contract fund option seven for student throughout and fixed operations, maintenance and support, Oct. 1, 2005 through Sept. 30, 2006. Total funds have been obligated. The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42630-99-C-0170/P00140).

BAE Systems Information and Electronic Warfare Systems, Nashua, N.H., is being awarded a $9,883,766 cost plus-fixed-fee contract modification to provide for repairs determined to be sole source to BAE Systems and within the Federal Stock Classes included in the Class J & A. At this time, no funds have been obligated. Solicitations began in February 2005 and negotiations were complete in November 2005. The Headquarters Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-03-D-0001/P00059).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Boeing Co., Huntington Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $6,365,907 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification to provide for a change over the radio frequency currently used by the Delta II Flight Termination System and design of required equipment. The current Command Receiver Decoder must be replaced to meet new operating frequency requirements. The new CRD must be qualified of flight by development component and system level tests. The CRD is a flight critical item and therefore is subject to special and comprehensive evaluations. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete in February 2007. The Headquarters Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-93-C-0004/P00307).


SRI International, Menlo Park, Calif., was awarded on Nov. 14, 2005, an $8,679,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the NIGHTINGALE Research Effort. Work will be performed in Menlo Park, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on March 18, 2005, and 21 bids were received. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (HR0011-06-C-0023).
