CSC Applied Technologies LLC, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $47,740,455 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to exercise an option for operations and maintenance support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s Atlantic Ranges and Facilities Department and the Test Article Preparation Department. The estimated level of effort is 959,500 man-hours. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md., and is expected to be completed in June 2007. L.C. Gaskins Construction Company*, Jacksonville, Fla., is being awarded $16,452,900 for firm-fixed-price task order 0004 under a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity design-build multiple award construction contract for construction of the waterfront enclave security perimeter at Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Ga. Work will be performed in Kings Bay, Ga., and is expected to be completed by July 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with 32 proposals received and award made on Sept. 11, 2003. The total contract amount is not to exceed $200,000,000 (base period and four option years). The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Four proposals were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southeast, Jacksonville, Fla., is the contracting activity.
Oklahoma State University, Center for Innovation and Economic Development Inc., Stillwater, Okla., is being awarded a $34,282,135 cost-reimbursable or cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. This program is for the production and update of Joint Munitions Effectiveness Manuals (JMEMs). This procurement will support the Joint Technical Coordinating Group for Munitions Effectiveness (JTCG/ME), a tri-service organization under direction of the Joint Logistics Commanders. Documents to be prepared for publication are technical handbooks and special publications. Preparation of these documents will require the contractor to: a) perform mathematical computations using existing computer models that have been authenticated and approved by the JTCG/ME, b) perform art and graphics work, c) prepare draft documents, d) edit documents, e) modify computer models, f) develop CD-ROM products that may be used to present data and calculate JHEM effectiveness data electronically, and g) sanitize electronic media products for release to foreign governments. The contractor will also be required to conduct research studies that are related to the publication of the technical handbooks. At this time, $1,040,200 has been obligated. Solicitations began in March 2006 and negotiations were complete April 2006. This work will be complete July 2011. Work will be performed in Simi Valley, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
