ARMY

United Defense LP, Combat Systems Division, York**, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $4,431,932 increment as part of an $8,863,865 firm fixed price letter contract for 5 M88A1 Medium Recovery Vehicles for the country of Thailand. Work will be performed in York, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by August 30, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on November 2, 1994. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-95-C-0103).

AIR FORCE

Harris Corporation, Information Systems Division, Melbourne, Florida, is being awarded a $10,899,733 fixed-price and one time-and-materials line items contract for upgrade of the capacity of the Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation System for the Goldwater Range, Arizona, from 8 to 36 aircraft. This system is the ground-based equipment that evaluates aircraft performance on the range. The work will be performed at Melbourne, Florida (50%) and Merrimack, New Hampshire (37%), and other various sites. Contract is expected to be completed March 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Twenty one bids were solicited and three proposals were received. The solicitation was issued July 1994 and negotiations were completed November 1994. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, is the contracting activity (F08626-94-C-0019).
