DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Continental Foods, Baltimore, Maryland was awarded on April 28, 1995, an
estimated $8,800,000 firm fixed price contract to provide total food and
beverage support for several military, medical and dining facilities under the
Prime Vendor program. Sixty-five proposals were solicited and seven were
received. Work is expected to be completed by May 1997. Funds will not expire
at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the contracting activity (SP0300-95-D-2839).
NAVY
Martin Marietta Corporation, Communications Systems, Camden, New Jersey, is
being awarded a $7,500,000 firm-fixed-price letter contract for four
AN/STC-2(V) integrated voice communications systems for DDG 79, 80, 81, and 82
to meet requirements of the Arleigh Burke DDG 51 Class AEGIS shipbuilding
program. Work will be performed in Camden, New Jersey, and is expected to be
completed by October 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval
Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity
(N00024-95-C-4079).
Trans World Airlines, Inc., Kansas City, Missouri, is being awarded a
$38,367,200 fixed-price-requirements contract for depot maintenance support of
the U.S. Navy (29) and U.S. Air Force (23) C-9/DC-9 series aircraft. Work will
be performed at various locations worldwide and is expected to be completed by
August 2000. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
This contract was competitively procured by a Request for Proposals (RFP) and
four offers were received. The Naval Aviation Depot, Operations Center,
Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity (N68520-95-D-0024).
ARMY
Gilbert Western Corporation, Salt Lake City, Utah, is being awarded $8,372,375
as part of a $9,639,375 (cumulative total if options are exercised) firm fixed
price contract to demolish approximately 92,000 square yards of existing
pavement and underlying subbase materials, then repave (aircraft apron upgrade
E-Ramp); and repair of the hydrant fueling system. Work will be performed at
the Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, and is expected to be completed by
June 11, 1995. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 136 bids solicited on March 21, 1995, and 9 bids received.

AIR FORCE
TRW, Incorporated, Redondo Beach, California, is being awarded a $15,313,843
face value increase to a Cost Plus Award Fee contract to restructure the
Brilliant Eyes (BE) Demonstration and Validation contract. Approximately 37.2%
of this work will be performed at the Hughes Aircraft Company in El Segundo,
California. Contract is expected to be completed by December 2000. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Space and
Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California is the
contracting activity (F04701-92-C-0062/P00029).
