AIR FORCE
Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Virginia, is being
awarded a $5,138,336 Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract for research of advanced
optical materials and devices which can be utilized to protect Air Force assets
from lasers. The work will be performed at the Materials Directorate,
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Contract is expected to be completed
December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 30 firms solicited and 1 proposal received. Solicitation
began February 1995 and negotiations were complete June 1995. Aeronautical
Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting
activity (F33615-95/C-5423).
NAVY
Alliant Techsystems, Inc., of Rocket Center, West Virginia, is being awarded
a $7,178,047 cost-no fee modification to previously awarded contract
N00024-94-E-8108, to perform facility restoration on government-owned
facilities at the Allegheny Ballistics Laboratory in Rocket Center, West
Virginia. Work will be performed in Rocket Center, West Virginia, and is
expected to be completed by June 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington
D.C., is the contractig activity.
