DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Hormel Foods, Austin, Minnesota, is being awarded an estimated $7,503,878 firm fixed price contract for resale commissary pork items. Thirty five proposals were solicited and six were received. Work will be performed in Austin, Minnesota and Fremont, Nebraska and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1996. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Monfort Inc., Greeley, Colorado, is being awarded an estimated $6,327,912 firm fixed price contract for resale commissary pork items. Thirty five proposals were solicited and six were received. Work will be performed in Louisville, Kentucky; Marshalltown, Iowa; Worthington, Minnesota; and Wyalusing, Pennsylvania and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1996. National Beef Packing Co., Kansas City, Missouri, is being awarded an estimated $17,203,572 firm fixed price contract for resale commissary beef items. One hundred forty four proposals were solicited and five were received. Work will be performed in Liberal, Kansas, and Dodge City, Kansas and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1996. DEFENSE MAPPING AGENCY

Orion Scientific Systems, Irvine, Calif. is being awarded a $19,925,024 cost plus fixed fee contract (exclusive of options for $14,422,076) for services and supplies in support of the National Drug Intelligence Center and Gulf States Counterdrug Initiative. Work will be performed in Johnstown, Pa.; Baton Rouge, La.; Jackson, Miss.; and Montgomery, Ala. and is expected to be completed by August 31, 2000. AIR FORCE

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Washington, is being awarded a $8,416,175 Firm Fixed Price. Contract for various line items of structural components for the KC-135 aircraft Coral Upgrade Program. The work will be performed at Boeing Defense & Space Group, Wichita, Kansas Contract is expected to be completed May 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The work will be performed at Hughes Aircraft Company, El Segundo, California (90%) and McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis, Missouri (10%). Contract is expected to be completed August 1999. ARMY

Martin Marietta Defense System, a Lockheed Martin Company, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is being awarded a delivery order amount of $7,925,692 as part of an $8,949,622 firm fixed price contract for 367 Digital Electronic Control Assemblies in support of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System. Work will be performed in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed by July 31, 1997. Of the total contract funds, $5,145,515 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Structural Associates, Incorporated, East Syracuse, New York, is being awarded a $14,505,948 fixed price contract for construction of an aircraft parking apron and jet fuel storage complex for KC-135 aircraft. Work will be performed at the Air National Guard Base, Lincoln, Nebraska, and is expected to be completed by approximately June 15, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were over 100 bids solicited on June 30, 1995, and 7 bids received. The Institute for Defense Analyses, a not-for-profit organization, Alexandria, Virginia, is being awarded a $5,279,298 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract. Task orders will be directed to individual issues of urgent, near-term and long-term interest in the planning and management of defense and national security related programs. Projects will be related to application of science and technology in national security matters; exploration of issues in defense systems research and development; computer and software engineering; evaluation of military systems in development or proposed, and of military forces using those systems; analysis of manpower, readiness, and support issues; research into the costs of military systems, personnel, and activities; research in strategy, military planning, international security, and related defense policy management; assessment of worldwide, regional, and local balances of power and stability and the factors affecting them, including their technical, economic, and military aspects; and operational evaluation and analyses of systems, forces, and military organizations in tests, wargames, field operations, and actual combat. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1998. This is a sole source contract initiated on October 1, 1993. Of the total contract funds, $280,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Service-Washington, Washington, D.C. (DASW01-94-C-0054).

Insight Technology, Inc., Londonderry, New Hampshire, is being awarded a $15,407,354 maximum five-year, fixed-price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for the supply of a maximum of 11,950 Infrared Target Pointer/Illuminator/Aiming Lasers which are used with night vision goggles to target, illuminate, and/or aim a variety of weapons in little or no light. Work will be performed in Londonderry, New Hampshire, and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $427,548 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 23 proposals solicited and one offer received.
