ARMY

GTE Government Systems, Needham, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $3,300,000 increment as part of a $59,201,688 base year to a $259,490,990 firm fixed price with cost reimbursable items, IDIQ contract with 4 options for outside cable plant rehabilitation (OSCAR) It provides the capability for the Army and other DOD agencies located in the continental United States (CONUS), Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Panama to acquire cable, associated cable hardware, fiber optic equipment, LAN components, and logistic support. Most items can be procured with or without installation to provide maximum flexibility to DOD agencies in satisfying requirements by allowing the use of government in-house resources for installation. Work will be performed in the United States, Panama and Puerto Rico with unknown percentages in each, and is expected to be completed by February 14, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 109 bids solicited on January 23, 1995 and 3 bids received. The contracting activity is the U. S. Army Information Systems Command, Fort Huachuca, Arizona (DAEA32-96-D-0001).

AIR FORCE

Beech Aircraft Corporation, Wichita, Kansas, is being awarded a $43,862,082 face value increase to a fixed price incentive contract to provide for Lot II production of three Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS) aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed December 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33657-94/C-0006, P00001).

Kaman Sciences Corporation, Colorado Springs, Colorado, is being awarded a $9,184,216 face value increase to a Cost Plus Award Fee contract to expand software maintenance and support efforts at Cheyenne Mountain Air Station, Colorado. Contract is expected to be completed September 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado is the contracting activity (F05603-91/C-0011).
