NAVY
Assurance Technology Corporation (ATC), Carlisle, Massachusetts, is being
awarded
a $42,633,265 indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity contract for engineering
design and development in support of Naval Research Laboratory space and
avionics systems research.
The contract offers to optimize operational systems and to advance new concept
development
for future generations of space and avionics systems. Work will be performed
in Alexandria, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by February 2001.
Contract funds in the amount of $925,000 will expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under a Broad Agency
Announcement and two offers were received. The Naval Research Laboratory,
Washington, DC, is the contracting activity (N00014-96-D-2009).
ARMY
Hughes Aircraft Company, El Segundo, California, is being awarded a
$10,045,825 increment as part of a $20,091,651 firm fixed price letter contract
for 325 Very High Speed Integrated Circuit (VHSIC) System Improvement Program
(SIP) Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) User Units (VS-EPUU),
initial spare parts and associated data. The VS-EPUU serves as a digital
communications backbone system for Army applications at brigade level and
below, with application at higher echelons. The VS-EPUUs are three primary
means of transmitting Army Tactical Command and Control System (ATCCS) digital
information across the battlefield. Work will be performed in El Segundo,
California (50%) and Forest, Mississippi (50%), and is expected to be completed
by December 31, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on February 13, 1996.
The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics
Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey (DAAB07-96-C-C762).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Genco Corporation*, Chattanooga, Tennessee is being awarded a
$8,276,201 firm fixed price indefinite quantity contract to provide cold/wet
intermediate gloves. One hundred proposals were solicited and four were
received. Work will be performed in Oconto, Wisconsin and is expected to be
completed by July 2, 1997. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal
year. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the
contracting activity (SPO100-95-D-4007).
