ARMY

Monarch Construction Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, was awarded on March 9, 1996, a $10,466,000 firm fixed price contract for a base realignment project which includes demolition, asbestos/lead removal, fire protection, plumbing, heating/ventilation/air conditioning, and electrical upgrades. Work will be performed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and is expected to be completed by March 11, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 27 bids solicited on February 21, 1995, and five bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Kentucky (DACA27-96-C-0043).

AIR FORCE

United Technologies Corporation, West Palm Beach, Florida, is being awarded a $10,000,000 cost plus fixed fee contract to provide for research and development support for the Engine Model Derivative Program. Contract is expected to be completed December 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 9 firms solicited and one proposal received. Northrop Grumman Corporation, Melbourne, Florida, is being awarded a $42,461,709 firm fixed price contract to provide for establishment and performance of Interim Contractor Support for the Joint Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) Prime Mission Equipment through April 1997. The work will be performed at Northrop Grumman, Melbourne, Florida (30%) and Northrop Grumman Corporation, Norfolk Connecticut (46%). Contract is expected to be completed April 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 2 firms solicited and one proposal received. Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Incorporated, Cambridge, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $14,748,451 cost-plus-fixed-fee completion contract to demonstrate low-cost Global Positioning System (GPS)/inertial guidance technology which can enable future Navy extended-range guidance munitions concepts. Work will be performed in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and

is expected to be completed by February 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 324 proposals solicited and 10 offers received. The Office of Naval Research, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N00014-96-C-0041).
