DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Coastal Refining & Marketing, Inc., Houston, Texas, is being awarded a $104,663,658 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for grade JP5 aviation turbine fuel and grade F76 naval distillate. Three hundred seven proposals were solicited and thirty five were received. Work will be performed in Corpus Christi, Texas and is expected to be completed by March 31, 1997. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Virginia is the contracting activity (SPO600-96-D-0478).

DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

IBM Corporation, Bethesda, Md. was awarded on March 20 an estimated $49,299,300 firm fixed price, indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract to upgrade all existing licenses of Multiple Virtual Storage/Extended Architecture (MVS/XA) to OS/390 operating system software suites at the 16 Defense Megacenters (DMCs) and the Cooperative Processing Site (COOP) at Slidell, La. In addition, individual add-on products can be ordered separately for upgrades of currently installed software not included in the OS/390 software suite. The period of performance will be one base year (20 Mar 96 - 19 Mar 97) with two one-year options. $4,490,363 is being obligated at contract award for the first delivery order. 17 vendors requested the solicitation and one acceptable proposal was received. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office, Scott AFB, Ill. is the contracting activity. (DCA200-96-D-0050).

NAVY

Kaman Aerospace Corporation, Bloomfield, Connecticut, is being awarded a $15,000,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-95-C-0127 for long lead materials and services for SH-2G(E) helicopters for the Egyptian Government (100%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program (FMS). Work will be performed in Bloomfield, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed by July 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Ceridian Corporation Computing Devices International, Bloomington, Minnesota, is being awarded an $8,820,000 fixed-price-delivery order to procure 90 Mission Computer Upgrade Kits for the F/A-18 Aircraft. Work will be performed in Bloomington, Minnesota,

and is expected to be completed by April 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of

the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Indianapolis, Indiana, is the contracting activity (N00163-96-D-0014).

ARMY

The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Akron, Ohio, is being awarded a $5,682,268 modification to a firm fixed price contract for 18,720 T-158LL Track Shoe Assemblies, which support the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. Work will be performed in St. Marys, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by October 30, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on October 16, 1995 and four bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-96-C-T004).

Spaw Glass Contractors, Incorporated, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $15,979,112 firm fixed price contract for whole-house rehabilitation of two recruit, housing, and training dormitories, each 210,000 square feet, 1,000 person dorms. The kitchens and dining facilities will be entirely redone, and the remainder of the facilities are to be upgraded to current standards, to include electric, HVAC, fire protection and HTRW abatement. Work will be performed at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, and is expected to be completed by April 28, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was a broad agency announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on February 15, 1996, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth, Texas (DACA63-96-C-0024).

Schnippel Construction, Incorporated, Botkins, Ohio, is being awarded a $5,650,000 firm fixed price contract for the renovation of Page Manor, consisting of 82 units. The project will include interior reconfiguration of walls; new bathrooms and kitchens will be included and electrical, mechanical and plumbing as required by the interior work. Exterior paint and stucco will be repaired. A playground will be installed along with concrete patios and walkways and new parking lots. Effort includes complete demolition of two buildings at Page Manor and four additional wings. The Senior Officer Quarters will be reconfigured to include a master bedroom and bath, and a new powder room will be installed. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing as necessary for interior work will be performed, as well as exterior rerouting of utilities and installation of a patio/gazebo. The Senior Officer Quarters are masonry with clay tile roofs. Work will be performed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by November 3, 1997. Sundt Corporation/Actus Corporation, a joint venture, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded an $8,761,073 modification to a fixed price contract for construction of an additional 80 family housing units, averaging 1,800 square feet. Work will be performed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson**, Arizona, and is expected to be completed by May 1, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were four bids solicited on November 22, 1994, and four bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles, California (DACA47-95-C-0038).
