ARMY

Sovran Construction Company, Incorporated, Winter Park, Florida, is beingawarded a $30,320,300 firm fixed price contract for construction ofunaccompanied enlisted personnel housing. Contractor will construct enlistedbarracks for 576 personnel utilizing the new barracks standard design. Thisproject includes eight barracks buildings and two soldier community buildingsalong with the associated site work and utilities. This project is a metricdesign which includes approximately 26,721 square meters. Work will beperformed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and is expected to be completed inJune 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscalyear. There were 147 bids solicited on December 13, 1995, and nine bidsreceived. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,Savannah, Georgia (DACA21-96-C-0020).

NAVY

Concept Automation, Incorporated, Sterling, Virginia, is being awarded a$98,147,070 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, fixed-price contract forstandard and advanced desktop computer systems, notebook computers, software,and related services to Navy and other government activities worldwide. Workwill be performed in Sterling, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by May1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.This contract was competitively procured with approximately 300 proposalssolicited and nine offers received. The Naval Information Systems ManagementCenter, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N68939-96-D-0006).

Cordant, Incorporated, Reston, Virginia, is being awarded a $108,182,989indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, fixed-price contract for standard andadvanced desktop computer systems, notebook computers, software, and relatedservices to Navy and other government activities worldwide. Work will beperformed in Reston, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by May 1998.Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Gichner Shelter Systems, Dallastown, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a$5,520,825 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 165 basic mobilemaintenance facilities for various field uses, such as electronic shops, testsets and medivac units. Receiving these facilities will be the U.S. Navy(124), the U.S. Air Force (38), and the governments of Jamaica (1) and Senegal,Gambia and Guinea Bissau, Africa (2). Work will be performed in Dallastown,Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by July 1997. This contract isa reprocurement action resulting from the termination for default of theoriginal contract. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the currentfiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with five offersreceived. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (70%); the U.S.Air Force (28%); and the governments of Jamaica (.66%) and Senegal, Gambia andGuinea Bissau, Africa (1.33%) under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program.The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is thecontracting activity (N68335-95-C-0133).
