CONTRACTS
AIR FORCE
Systran Software, Incorporated, La Jolla, California, is
being awarded a $10,000,000 indefinite quantity task order
contract to provide for programming support for Machine
Translation Systems. These systems perform language translation
tasks in support of the National Air Intelligence Center, Wright-
Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Contract is expected to be
completed June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end
of the current fiscal year. There was one firm solicited and one
proposal received. Solicitation began February 1995;
negotiations were complete April 1996. Aeronautical Systems
Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting
activity (F33657-95/D-0056).
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Usibelli Coal Mine, Inc.*, Healy, Alaska, is being awarded
an estimated $17,950,510 fixed price with economic price
adjustment contract for sub-bituminous coal. One hundred and ten
proposals were solicited and four were received. Work is
expected to be completed by May 30, 1997. The Defense Fuel
Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Virginia is the contracting activity
(SP0600-96-D-0673).
