CONTRACTS
ARMY
East Penn Manufacturing Company, Incorporated, Lyon Station,
Pennsylvania, is being awarded a delivery order amount of
$5,987,520, as part of a firm fixed price contract for 88,000
storage batteries, for use in a variety of vehicles. The
batteries are model 6TLFP, with calcium plates and having a
special electrolyte overpacked with each battery to extend the
life of the battery. Work will be performed in Lyon Station,
Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 1997.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were eight bids solicited on February 24, 1992, and
two bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-92-
D-J011).
Structural Associates, Incorporated, East Syracuse, New
York, is being awarded a $7,329,580 increment as part of an
$8,085,486 (potential value, with 7 options) firm fixed price
contract to replace hydrant fueling. Work will be performed at
McGuire Air Force Base, Wrightstown, New Jersey, and is expected
to be completed by November 30, 1997. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 100
bids solicited on March 8, 1996, and ten bids received. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New
York, New York (DACA51-96-C-0054).
BEI Defense Systems Company*, Euless, Texas, is being
awarded a $5,693,282 firm fixed price contract for various spare
parts for the AH-1 Cobra Helicopter. Work will be performed in
Euless, Texas, and is expected to be completed by September 15,
1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March
20, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-
Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE20-96-C-
0309).
NAVY
Dayton T. Brown, Bohemia, New York, is being awarded a
$5,549,504 modification
to previously awarded contract N68335-93-C-0123 to exercise an
option for 30 hydraulic component test stands. Work will be
performed in Bohemia, New York, and is expected to
be completed by March 1998. Contract funds would not have
expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
competitively procured with 83 proposals solicited and nine
offers received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division,
Lakehurst, New Jersey, is
the contracting activity.
AIR FORCE
ITT Corporation, Clifton, New Jersey, is being awarded a
$23,426,258 face value increase to a fixed price incentive
contract to provide for 3 ship sets of the ALQ-172 (V3)
Electronic Countermeasures System applicable to the AC-130H
aircraft, along with related support equipment and technical
data. Contract is expected to be completed November 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base,
Georgia, is the contracting activity (F09603-96/C-0060, P00003).
Computer Sciences Corporation, Moorestown, New Jersey, is
being awarded a $9,027,910 face value increase to a fixed price
incentive contract to provide for software for Air Mobility
Command's Command and Control Information Processing System that
will enable the system to interface with outside sources.
Contract is expected to be completed. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Air Force Materiel
Command, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the
