CONTRACTS

ARMY

AM General Corp., South Bend, Ind., is being awarded a $21,979,329 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 478 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles A1 (HMMWV A1) for Thailand. Work will be performed in Mishawaka, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 30 bids solicited on Feb. 17, 1989, and 1 bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-89-C-0998).

AIR FORCE

Northrop Grumman Corporation, Rolling Meadows, Illinois, is being awarded a $9,802,602 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide for six shipsets of band three prime hardware, and associated operational flight program updates and contractor support, applicable to the AN/ALQ-135 Electronic Countermeasures Systems applicable to the F-15 aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed July 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-95/C-0064, P00006).

NAVY

Western Design Howden, Irvine, Calif., is being awarded a $7,274,370 delivery order against a firm-fixed-price basic ordering agreement to exercise an option for the procurement of 35 Linkless Ammunition Loading Systems (LALS) Loaders and Government Purpose License Rights to previously delivered technical data marked proprietary. Work will be performed in Irvine, Calif., and is expected to be completed by December 1997. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with five proposals solicited and one offer received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68936-93-D-0045).

McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $49,758,597 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-C-0127 for 46 Harpoon missiles and Standoff Land Attack Missile (SLAM) hardware for the U.S. Navy. The government of Korea and various other countries under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (76%), Dallas, Texas (11%), and Toledo, Ohio (13%), and is expected to be completed by December 1998. Contract funds do not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Sea-Land Services, Incorporated, Charlotte, N.C., is being awarded a not to exceed $11,357,018 indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity service contract for U.S. flag commercial, intermodal, container service for transportation of general store merchandise from points in the continental U.S. to specific destinations in the United Kingdom and northern Europe. The contract is expected to be completed by February 1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with seven proposals solicited and two offers received. The Joint Traffic Management Office, Falls Church, Va., is the contracting activity (N00033-97-C-9701).
