CONTRACTS

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Refinery Associates of Texas, New Braunfels, Texas, is being awarded a $11,379,270 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for F76 diesel fuel oil. One hundred ninety four proposals were solicited and six were received. Work will be performed in Westlake, La., and is expected to be completed by October 1997. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort Belvoir Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-97-D-5668).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems, Ft. Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $6,339,240 face value increase to a time and materials contract to provide for integration of various data link components in support of the Common Configuration Implementation Program for the F-16 aircraft. This program will develop a single configuration to replace the multiple data links that interface between the aircraft's computers and various systems. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright- Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-93/C- 2374, P00050).

Science Applications International Corp., Torrance, Calif., is being awarded a $25,212,799 face value increase to a cost plus award fee contract to provide for engineering, analysis, design, and development support through 21 February 1999 for the Air Force's Ballistic Missile Defense Program Office. This effort will focus on national and theater missile defense, sensors, weapons, and battle management/command, control, communication systems. Contract is expected to be completed February 1999. ARMY

Grove North America, Shady Grove, Pa., is being awarded an estimated $42,655,000 for a five year fixed price requirements contract for 20-ton all-terrain cranes, grapples, clamshells, and data requirements. The estimated quantity for proposal evaluation purposes is 160 cranes, grapples and clamshells. Work will be performed in Shady Grove, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 18, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 42 bids solicited on July 11, 1996, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-97-D-X001).

Rockwell Collins Inc., Richardson, Texas, is being awarded a $19,894,002 firm fixed price contract for 15 Universal Modem Systems and nonrecurring engineering for initial startup and testing purposes. Work will be performed in Richardson, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Feb. 21, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the electronic bulletin board on Nov. 8, 1996, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-97-C-A157).

Granite Construction Co., Watsonville, Calif., is being awarded a $5,019,419 firm fixed price construction contract for the repair of approximately 5,000 linear feet of runway 04/22. The project shall include runway lighting and removal of asphalt concrete overlay on existing concrete pavement and replacing it with a 100 feet wide concrete keel section and the remaining width on either side with asphalt concrete. Work will be performed at Air Force Plant 42, Palmdale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 52 bids solicited on Sept. 8, 1996, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif. (DACA05-97-C-0081).

NAVY

Standard Missile Co., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $35,000,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96- C-5341 to procure Long Lead Material required for the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase to support the STANDARD Missile Blk IVA Development Program. Work will be performed in McLean, Va., and is expected to be completed by April 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Systems Engineering Associates Corp. (SEACORP),* Newport, R.I., is being awarded a $23,670,214 indefinite- delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee provisions for technical services for analysis, assessment, validation/integration/certification and product test planning/scheduling and testing support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, System Evaluation Branch and Engineering Branch, Newport, R.I. Work will be performed in Newport, R.I. (80%), and various other locations such as Andros Islands, The Bahamas; Syracuse, N.Y.; Dahlgren, Va.; Kings Bay, Ga.; Washington, D.C; and Groton, Conn. (cumulative 20%), and is expected to be completed by February 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $50,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through a request for proposals for small businesses with 43 proposals solicited and one offer received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity (N66604-97-D-1007).
