AIR FORCE
GTE Government Systems, Needham, Massachusetts, is being
awarded a $99,188,996 time and materials contract to provide for
eighteen months of contractor logistics support and upgrades and
expansions of telephone switching systems. The work will be
performed at Nortel, Richardson, Texas. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 23
firms solicited and 2 proposals received. Solicitation began
February 1996; negotiations were completed February 1997.
Sacramento Air Logistics Center, McClellan Air Force Base,
Calif., is the contracting activity (F04606-97/D-0059).
NAVY
Vitro Corp., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $15,228,463
cost-plus-award-fee
contract for Program Management, Ship Integration, Test and
Evaluation, and Configuration Management Technical Support
Services for the Program Executive Office for Surface
Combatants/AEGIS Program. This contract contains options which,
if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the entire
contract to $106,568,214. Work will be performed in Arlington,
Va. (70%), and Rockville, Md. (30%), and is expected to be
completed by March 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively
procured with 136 proposals solicited and one offer received.
The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting
activity (N00024-97-C-5180).
