CONTRACTS
ARMY
GDE Systems Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a
$6,991,249 increment of a $35,000,000 modification to a
$51,000,000 cost plus award fee contract to purchase the Air
Vehicle Planning System (APS) Version 2. Work will be performed
in San Diego, Calif. (58%); San Pedro, Calif. (18%); and
Bellevue, Neb. (24%), and is expected to be completed by March
31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. There were 30 bids solicited on July 1,
1996, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the
U.S. Defense Special Weapons Agency, Alexandria, Va. (DSWA01-97-C-
0035).
AIR FORCE
McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a
$47,243,943 face value increase to a firm fixed priced contract
to provide for two F-15E aircraft. Contract is expected to be
completed January 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center,
Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-
96/C-0003, P00008).
NAVY
T. B. Penick and Sons, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being
awarded an $11,028,126 firm-fixed-price contract to provide a
double high bay, steel framed hangar with a two-story
administration space, two hazardous material storage buildings
and aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) containment tanks and
incidental related work at the Marine Corps Air Station, Camp
Pendleton, Oceanside, Calif. Work will be performed in
Oceanside, Calif., and is expected to be completed by February
1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 350
proposals solicited and ten offers received. The Naval
Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego,
Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-94-C-1665).
