CONTRACTS
ARMY
Bill Harbert Construction Co., Inc., Birmingham, Ala., is
being awarded a $42,435,000 contract for demolition of existing
barrack buildings, construction of two new barracks, two
battalion headquarters buildings and one company operations
building and construction of associated utilities. Work will be
performed at Fort Campbell, Ky., and is expected to be completed
by July 5, 2000. Of the total contract funds, $1,500,000 will
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 191
bids solicited on Jan. 14, 1997, and six bids received. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
Louisville, Ky. (DACA27-97-C-0033).
Sikorsky Aircraft, Stratford Conn., is being awarded a
$6,000,000 modification to a firm- fixed-price contract for 519
Bearing Assemblies for the UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter. Work
will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be
completed by April 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source
contract initiated on Feb. 27, 1997. The contracting activity is
the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, Mo. (DAAJ09-
93-G-0017).
CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY
Great Lakes/Weeks Marine-Joint Venture, Oak Brook, Ill., was
awarded on March 24, 1997, an $8,000,000 increment as part of a
$28,944,500 fixed-price construction contract for a beach erosion
control project. Work will be performed from Asbury Park to
Manasquan, N.J., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 1, 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 22 bids solicited on Jan. 6, 1997, and two bids
were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers, New York, N.Y. (DACW51-97-C-0016).
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Bindley Western Drug Co., Shelby, N.C., is being awarded a
$32,632,380 firm-fixed- price modified requirement contract for
pharmaceuticals under the Prime Vendor program. Four proposals
were solicited and four were received. Work is expected to be
completed by March 28, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of
the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center,
Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-95-D-
7013).
NAVY
OHM Remediation Services Corp., Aiea, Hawaii, is being
awarded a $2,694,138 modification to previously awarded contract
N62742-93-D-0610 for environmental remedial action including all
services, labor, equipment and materials required to perform a
removal action at the Construction Battalion Landfill, Public
Works Center, South Finegayan, Guam. The basic total contract
amount is not to exceed $250,000,000. Work will be performed in
Guam, and is expected to be completed by August 1998. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The
Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl
Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity.
Dayton T. Brown, Bohemia, N.Y., is being awarded a
$5,609,856 modification to previously awarded contract N68335-93-
C-0123 to exercise an option for 30 hydraulic component test
stands, 30 maintenance assist modules and one lot of calibration
fixtures and acceptance test reports. Work will be performed in
Bohemia, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by March 1999.
Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current
fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, N.J., is
the contracting activity.
AIR FORCE
Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems, Ft. Worth, Texas,
is being awarded a $76,016,281 face value increase to a cost-plus-
incentive-fee contract to provide for upgraded M2/M2+ Software
Tapes applicable to the Modular Mission Computer on 301 F-16
aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed August 2000.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This effort supports foreign military sales to Belgium,
Denmark, Netherlands, and Norway. Aeronautical Systems Center,
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting
activity (F33657-94/C-2259, P00022).
