Medal of Honor Vice President Spiro T. Agnew presents the Medal of Honor to Grace Jolley, the mother of Army 2nd Lt. Harold Durham Jr., Oct. 31, 1969, in the District of Columbia. Durham earned the medal posthumously for his bravery at the Battle of Ong Thanh in Vietnam. To the back, left to right, are John and Marilyn Durham, the honoree’s brother and sister-in-law, Lt. Col. Frank Serio and Genie Durham, the honoree’s sister. The family received the medal on the second anniversary of Durham’s burial.
