The chief of staff, Air Force announced the following assignments:

Maj. Gen. Jay B. Silveria, commander, U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, Air Combat Command, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, to deputy commander, U.S. Air Forces Central Command; and deputy, Combined Forces Air Component Commander, U.S. Central Command, Southwest Asia.

Brig. Gen. Glen D. VanHerck, who has been selected for the grade of major general, from director, operations, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, to commander, U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, Air Combat Command, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

Brig. Gen. Ferdinand B. Stoss, director, strategic plans, programs, requirements and assessments, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, to director, operations, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.

Col. John T. Wilcox II, who has been selected for the grade of brigadier general, from commander, 341st Missile Wing, Air Force Global Strike Command, Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana, to director, strategic plans, programs, requirements and assessments, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale, Air Force Base, Louisiana.

Brig. Gen. Jeffrey B. Taliaferro, director, plans, programs, and requirements, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, to commander, 9th Air and Space Expeditionary Task Force-Afghanistan; commander, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Air Command-Afghanistan; director, Air Forces Central Command Air Component Coordination Element for U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, Air Combat Command, and support of NATO’s Operation Resolute Support, deputy commander-air, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, U.S. Central Command, Kabul, Afghanistan.

Brig. Gen. Russell L. Mack, inspector general, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, to director, plans, programs, and requirements, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

Brig. Gen. Richard A. Coe, deputy commanding general-air, Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command-Iraq; director, Joint Air Component Coordination Element-Iraq to Combined Joint Task Force-Operations Inherent Resolve; and vice commander, 9th Air Expeditionary Task Force-Levant, Southwest Asia, to inspector general, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. 

Col. Matthew C. Isler, who has been selected for the grade of brigadier general, from commander, 12th Flying Training Wing, Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, to deputy commanding general-air, Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command-Iraq; director, Joint Air Component Coordination Element-Iraq to Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve; and vice commander, 9th Air Expeditionary Task Force-Levant, Southwest Asia.

Brig. Gen. Christopher M. Short, commander, 57th Fighter Wing, Air Combat Command, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, to senior defense official and defense attaché-United Kingdom, Defense Intelligence Agency, U.S. Embassy, United Kingdom.

Col. Jeannie M. Leavitt, who has been selected for the grade of brigadier general, from principal military assistant to the secretary of defense, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia, to commander, 57th Fighter Wing, Air Combat Command, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

Col. James D. Peccia III, who has been selected for the grade of brigadier general, from associate director, budget operations and personnel, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia, to director, budget operations and personnel, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.
