The chief of staff, Army announced the following assignments:

Maj. Gen. James M. Richardson, commanding general, Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, to director, Army Quadrennial Defense Review Office, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8, U.S. Army, Washington, District of Columbia.

Maj. Gen. Mark R. Stammer, commander, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, Operation Enduring Freedom-Horn of Africa, Djibouti, to deputy commanding general, XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Brig. Gen. David C. Coburn, deputy chief of staff, G8/director, resource management, U.S. Army Central, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, to commanding general, Army Financial Management Command, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Brig. Gen. Douglas M. Gabram, deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7, Army Training and Doctrine Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, to commanding general, Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

Brig. Gen. Frank M. Muth, director, Army Quadrennial Defense Review Office, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8, U.S. Army, Washington, District of Columbia, to program manager, Saudi Arabian National Guard Modernization Program, Saudi Arabia.
