Flag Officer Assignments

The Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John M. Richardson announced today the following assignments:

 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Deborah P. Haven, selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as director, joint reserve forces, J9, Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Haven is currently serving as commander, Defense Contract Management Command International, Fort Lee, Virginia. 

 

Rear Adm. (lower half) William D. Byrne Jr., will be assigned as commander, Carrier Strike Group Eleven, Everett, Washington. Byrne is currently serving as commander, Navy Region Korea; commander, U.S. Naval Forces Korea; and commander, Naval Component, U.S. Forces Korea, United Nations Command, Korea.

 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Louis V. Cariello will be assigned as director, Energy and Environmental Readiness Division, N45, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, District of Columbia. Cariello is currently serving as commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Atlantic with additional duties as fleet civil engineer, N01CE, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia.

 

Rear Adm. (lower half) David A. Lane will be assigned as director, National Capital Medical Directorate, Defense Health Agency, Falls Church, Virginia. Lane is currently serving as director, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland.   

 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Lorin C. Selby will be assigned as deputy commander, ship design, integration and engineering, SEA-05, Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia. Selby is currently serving as commander, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Washington, District of Columbia.
