Iraqis Undeterred by Bombing

WASHINGTON, Jan. 5, 2006 – Undeterred by a suicide bomb attack earlier this morning, Iraqis returned to a recruiting center in Ramadi to continue the screening process to become police officers, Multinational Force Iraq officials reported.

A bomber detonated an explosive vest in a crowd at the center today, killing 30 people.

U.S. military physicians immediately began treating the wounded until the injured could be transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment, officials said.
