Roadside Bomb Kills Two U.S. Soldiers in Baghdad

WASHINGTON, Feb. 26, 2006 – Two U.S. soldiers are dead after a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle today in western Baghdad, Multinational Force Iraq officials reported.

One soldier died at the scene, and the second died later at a military hospital, officials said. Both were assigned to Multinational Division Baghdad.

The soldiers' names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The incident is under investigation.
