Four Soldiers Killed, Two in Vehicle Accidents

WASHINGTON, Feb. 16, 2005 Four soldiers have died in Iraq, two of them in vehicle accidents and another from an injury not related to combat.
Military officials said a 1st Corps Support Command soldier was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident today southeast of Balad. Another soldier was injured in the 7:30 a.m. crash.
In a separate accident today at about the same time, a Task Force Liberty soldier and an Iraqi civilian were killed in a vehicle collision near Sadiyah in Diyala province. One other soldier and two Iraqi civilians were injured.
Also, the military is investigating the death of a Task Force Liberty soldier this morning from a noncombat injury on a Multinational Force Iraq base. Military officials provided no further details about the accidents or the death.
A soldier assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force was killed in action Feb. 15 while conducting security and stability operations in Iraq's Anbar province.
