Air Force Begins Stop Loss; Over 6,000 Must Stay

WASHINGTON, May 26, 1999 – More than 6,000 airmen who have requested and been approved for retirement or separation from the Air Force through the end of December must stay in uniform as senior leadership instituted the Stop Loss program.
