Events Honor Women's History Month

WASHINGTON, March 13, 1998 – The Women in Military Service to America Memorial Foundation is hosting two events in honor of Women's History Month.

Author Linda Bird Franke will discuss her book, "Ground Zero," March 19. Franke gives her candid views of military women and the issue of women in combat. A book signing will follow.

On March 25, Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe, a long-time advocate of military women and the only woman member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, will speak about the legislative process, its effect on military women and her thoughts on the future.
