Shalikashvili, Deputy Defense Secretary John White and DoD's White House Liaison Charlie Duncan await President Clinton's arrival at the Pentagon. The Jan. 29 call was Clinton's first visit to the Pentagon since Cohen's confirmation as defense secretary Jan. 24.
