Family Matters Blog: Blogger Highlights Air Force Military Spouses Program

WASHINGTON, Jan. 3, 2011 The Air Force’s Heart Link program is a great example of how the military is working to support service members and their spouses in terms of improving their relationships – particularly the newest military spouses.
"Most new Air Force spouses come into Heart Link not knowing where they fit into the Air Force mission," LeAnn Throlson, a community readiness consultant on Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, told Air Force News writer Airman Erica Stewart in a recent interview. "They just think that they're on the outside looking in. It's our job to show them that they're much more than that."
