WASHINGTON, April 7, 2011 The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors has brought comfort to countless people who lost a military loved one. Military leaders -- Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton A. Schwartz and Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric K. Shinseki -- honored this program during TAPS’ annual Honor Guard Gala on April 5. Read all about this gala in the American Forces Press Service article “Gala Honors Survivor Assistance Program Supporters” by my colleague, Donna Miles.
