Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis embarks on a trip that includes stops in San Diego, India, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Monday, September 3.
In San Diego, Secretary Mattis will observe carrier strike group training.
Secretary Mattis will then travel to New Delhi to attend the first-ever India "2+2" Ministerial Dialogue alongside Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Both leaders will jointly meet with their counterparts from the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Indian Ministry of Defence.
The secretary’s final stop is Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he will meet with Senior Emerati officials.
