General Officer Announcements

Sept. 10, 2019

Secretary of Defense Mark T. Esper announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Air Force Maj. Gen. Michael A. Minihan for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general, and assignment as deputy commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii.  Minihan is currently serving as chief of staff, Headquarters U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii.

Air Force Maj. Gen. Scott A. Kindsvater for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general, and assignment as deputy chairman, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Military Committee, Brussels, Belgium.  Kindsvater is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, operations, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Casteau, Belgium.
