On November 24, Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller spoke with New Zealand Minister for Defence Peeni Henare. The leaders reaffirmed the strength of the U.S–New Zealand partnership and shared their perspectives on pressing regional security challenges. Acting Secretary Miller and Minister Henare agreed to continue coordination on COVID-19 response efforts and emphasized their commitment to maintaining a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
