FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
the President has nominated Rear Admiral William J. Fallon, U.S.
Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment
as Deputy Commander in Chief and Chief of Staff, U.S. Atlantic
Command in Norfolk, Virginia.
Rear Admiral Fallon is currently
serving as Deputy and Chief of Staff, U.S. Atlantic Fleet in
Norfolk, Virginia.
Rear Admiral Fallon was born December 30, 1944 in East
Orange, New Jersey.
