GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
he has approved the appointment of Lt. Gen. Jay W. Kelley, United
States Air Force, on the retired list in the grade of lieutenant
general, effective Oct. 1, 1996. Kelley is currently serving as
commander, Air University, Air Education and Training Command,
Maxwell AFB, Ala.
Kelley was born Aug. 9, 1941, in Frankfort, Ind.
