GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Joseph J. Redden, United
States Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant
general with assignment as commander, Air University, Maxwell
AFB, Alabama.
Redden is currently assigned as the commander,
Joint Warfighting Center, Fort Monroe, Va.
Redden was born Feb. 16, 1943, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
