GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
the President has nominated Lt. Gen. George T. Babbitt Jr.,
United States Air Force, for reappointment to the grade of
lieutenant general with assignment as director, Defense Logistics
Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va.
Babbitt is currently assigned as
deputy chief of staff, Logistics, Headquarters United States Air
Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Babbitt was born June 22, 1942, in Bremerton, Wash.
