General Officer Announcements
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President made the following nominations:
Marine Corps Reserve Brig. Gen. Douglas M. Stone has been nominated for appointment to the grade of major general. Stone is currently serving as the commanding general, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command, in Twentynine Palms, Calif.
Marine Corps Reserve Brig. Gen. Eugene G. Payne has been nominated for appointment to the grade of major general. Payne is currently serving as the director, U. S. Central Command Deployment Distribution Operations Center, in Kuwait. |
