General Officer Announcement

            Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced that the President has nominated:

            Col. Stephen L. Jones, U.S. Army, for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  He is currently serving as command surgeon, U.S. Army Cadet Command, Fort Monroe, Va.
