General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Charles H. Jacoby Jr. for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as commanding general, I Corps and Fort Lewis, Fort Lewis, Wash. Jacoby is currently serving as commanding general, U.S. Army Alaska/deputy commander, U.S. Alaskan Command. |
