General Officer Announcements

            The following Army General Officer nominations were confirmed by the Senate on 3 August 2007:
 
            Lt. Gen. James J. Lovelace, U.S. Army, for reappointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as commanding general, Third U.S. Army/commander, U.S. Army Forces Central Command, Fort McPherson, Ga. He is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, G-3, U.S. Army.
 
            Lt. Gen. James D. Thurman, U.S. Army, for reappointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. He is currently serving as commanding general, V Corps, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army.
 
            Maj.Gen. Carter F. Ham, U.S. Army, for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as director for Operations, J-3, The Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. He most recently served as commanding general, 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley.
 
            Maj. Gen. Kenneth W. Hunzeker, U.S. Army, for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as commanding general, V Corps, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany. He is currently serving as commanding general, civilian police assistance training team, Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq.
 
            The fiscal 2006 major general, Army competitive category, promotion list.
 
            Col. Lawrence A. Haskins, Army National Guard, for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as chief, Joint Staff, 40th Infantry Division, Los Alamitos, Calif.
 
            Col. Bradly S. MacNealy, U.S. Army National Guard, for promotion to the rank of brigadier general.  He is currently serving as U.S. property and fiscal officer for the state of Mississippi, Jackson, Miss.
 
            Col. Michael J. Trombetta, U.S. Army Reserve, for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as commandant (individual mobilization augmentee), U.S. Army Quartermaster Center and School, Fort Lee, Va.
