The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was
supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pvt. Justin T. Sanders, 22, of Watson, La., died Aug. 29 in Taji, Iraq, in a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 2d Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
The circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation.
