Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Army Col. Joseph Caravalho Jr. has been nominated for promotion to the grade of brigadier general. Caravalho is currently serving as assistant chief of staff, Health Affairs, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, N.C.
Army Col. Rhonda L. S. Cornum has been nominated for promotion to the grade of brigadier general. Cornum is currently serving as chief, Department of Surgery, Ireland Army Community Hospital, Fort Knox, Ky.
Army Col Keith W. Gallagher has been nominated for promotion to the grade of brigadier general. Gallagher is currently serving as commander, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, Ky.
Army Col. Donald L. Rutherford has been nominated for promotion to the grade of brigadier general with assignment as deputy chief of chaplains, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. Rutherford is currently serving as command chaplain, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany.
