GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that
the President has nominated Lieutenant General Lawrence P.
Farrell, Jr., United States Air Force, for reappointment to the
grade of lieutenant general with assignment as Deputy Chief of
Staff, Plans and Programs, Headquarters United States Air Force,
Pentagon, Washington D.C. General Farrell is currently assigned
as Vice Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson
Air Force Base, Ohio.
General Farrell was born January 14, 1943, in Montgomery,
Alabama.
