GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that
he has approved the appointment of Lieutenant General Ronald W.
Iverson, United States Air Force, on the retired list in the
grade of lieutenant general effective May 1, 1997. Lieutenant
General Iverson is currently serving as the Deputy Commander in
Chief, United Nations Command Korea; Deputy Commander, United
States Forces Korea; Commander, Air Component Command, Republic
of Korea/United States Combined Forces Command; and Commander,
Seventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Osan Air Base, Korea.
Lieutenant General Iverson was born June 26, 1942, in
Moscow, Idaho.
