CORRECTION
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has nominated Navy Rear Adm. Derwood C. Curtis for appointment to the grade of Vice Admiral and assignment as Commander, Naval Surface Forces/Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif. Curtis is currently serving as Deputy Commander, Naval Surface Forces/Commander, Naval Surface Force, United States Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk, Va.
