GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that
he has approved the appointment of Lt. Gen. Everett H. Pratt Jr.,
U.S. Air Force, on the retired list in the grade of lieutenant
general effective Aug. 1, 1997. Pratt is currently serving as
vice commander, United States Air Forces in Europe, and director,
European Air Combat Operations Staff, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
Pratt was born Nov. 25, 1943, in Covington, Ga.
