CORRECTION CORRECTION CORRECTION DOD HOSTS THIRD CHEMICAL DEMIL ENVIRONMENTAL FORUM
Today, the Department of Defense hosted the Third Chemical
Demilitarization Environmental Forum in Birmingham, Ala.
The
Forum is part of an ongoing process to identify problems and to
communicate with the communities at large that are affected by
the national program to destroy the stockpile of chemical weapons
in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner.
Co-hosting the Forum was Deputy Under Secretary of Defense,
Sherri Goodman and Assistant Secretary of the Army, Gil Decker
AND DEPUTY ASSISTANT TO THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE FOR CHEMICAL AND
BIOLOGICAL MATTERS, Dr. Ted Prociv.
Mr. Mike Parker, Program
Manager for alternatives technologies also participated.
